I'm currently revisiting the Mercedes D.III & D.IIIa flugmotors that powered so many German aircraft in the first world war. The plan is to produce complete kits -- not just a handful of dress-up parts -- in a range of scales from 1/48 to 1/16 — and maybe even larger. The 1/32 scale version is currently well along, with the crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons as well as cylinders and valve train all having been designed and test assembled. Watch this space as this project progresses.
